there are many issues we have w/ our loot rules or lack of establishing one. Here is what is wrong w/ what we have currently atm. Though we are trying to look out for the best of the "raid progression " we are overlooking the fact that we are neglecting the players who have done there part and tried to progrees there character away from 25 man , so when the times comes to raid they are able to keep on improving there gear . Here are some examples of what are wrong . Now this is just an example , say a player comes w/ fairly good gear mostly blues and a few greens and another players has mostly purples from badges or 10 man raids, if we go about our loot system that we are using the player that started off w/ the blues and greens will get 25 man gear ( purple out ) before the player that had better gear in the beggining , so what im saying is we are rewarding the player w/ the worst gear.
If u are saying we will eventually get all gear from 25 man eventualy you are basicly disregarding the player who invested time and effort and preventing him/her from continuing progreesing ther character. im sure we all enjoy our character and would like to see ultimatly the best thing for evryone but the way we are going about it im completly wrong.
I am a big supporter of DKP because i belive it rewards those who invest the time on there character progresson and not reward players that just come in and get better loot than those that better deserv it. There are a variaty of dkp system and i can go through them if u like .

Re: Raid Loot
Haro!!
i think DKP might be good but this is a close guild so shouldnt matter.
IMO
whoever have blue or green gears should roll first.
For example
player x have green belt and some boss just droped epic
in 25 nax
they should link gear/roll
if no other player need it as bad player x should automatically get it
However! they can only get 1~2 free gear depending on
their effort of heroics/raids
and the purple geared peep will be able to roll on what ever drops next
so its 1~2 need for greenies

Re: Raid Loot
Afrik makes a good point and I think we can find a solution without the need of the DKP system. Alot of us have progessed to our purples through either hours grinding heroics or crafting or even earning gold to purchase our gear. So when we have someone who has worked hard and an item that drops in a 25 raid is only a small upgrade we shouldn't want anyone to feel like they shouldn't or can't roll on it because someone else only has a green or blue item. While we we need to provide progession for everyone, we can still do that and have a loot system that is fair. Here is my sugestion.
For 10 man raids - anyone with blue gear or lower gets roll priority over someone already wearing a purple piece (in there main spec). Unless it is for main spec tier.
For 25 man raids - anyone who does not already have an item for that slot that dropped in a 25 can roll. This is regardless if they have 10 man, heroic or a crafted purple. Also anyone can roll on main spec tier pieces that they do not already have.
I think that this solution is simple yet still fair as those with greens and blues still get priority in 10 man and still have a chance for gear in 25 and those that already are in purple still have a chance to get the 25 man gear

Re: Raid Loot
I agree with storm and afrik. We need a simple way of doing the loot rules. DKP can get to complex. I like storm's logic on it, it lets the toons with greens and blues to get gear without surpassing the people that did a lot of the previous progression. With saying this, they too are also adding to this progression and should not be shunned because they have not been here as long as some others.
I am all about guild progress but the higher geared people want to raise their stats also. I guess I could have just said that I agree with storm (wait in did, twice!!!) and have been done with it.
